The songs on this album will bring back deep spiritual memories for those who were reared in the Southern Bible Belt. They are hymns of invitation, sung with the deep emotion of one under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Reverend Timbs is the son of an evangelical revival minister. His singing captures that worshipful moment when many were captivated by the Spirit of God as He drew them to Himself in the revival days of the early and mid twentieth century. They are special songs that will never fade in the memory of many thousands of people who heard God's voice calling them to come to Him. I observed Reverend Timbs simply lose himself in the anointing of God's Spirit as he recorded these songs.

Any believer in Christ will be edified and uplifted by simply tuning out the clamor of the present, forgetting the "tyranny of the urgent," and listening to the words, melody and message in these songs.
